Ingredients:
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 small flour tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 lime, zest and juice
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
- Lime wedges for serving
Instructions:
Mix chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper with olive oil in a bowl
Toss the shrimp in the sauce to coat them
Let it sit for 15 minutes
Add the lime zest, lime juice, minced garlic, sugar, and cayenne pepper to a different bowl and mix them together
To make the lime crema, stir until it's smooth
Set the pan on medium-high heat
Place the shrimp in the pan
Cook for two to three minutes on each side, until they turn pink and opaque
Take it off the heat
You can warm the flour tortillas up in a dry pan or the microwave for a short time
To make the tacos, spread a lot of lime crema on each tortilla, then add shredded cabbage and top with cooked shrimp, chopped cilantro, and diced red onion
